The Lunch Hub is the name of our school dining rooms. Schools in ASSET have been working hard to optimise the lunch time experience with some great ideas from family style dining, to reshaping and decorating dining rooms and hatch areas.

In our recent survey, parents told us they wanted much more information about what children are eating, including more nutritional information. In July '26 we'll release our Autumn menus, with linked nutritional information on every meal item, enabling parents to make fully informed choices about their child's meals.

Parents also told us they worried about the limited choices children made in school, and wanted pictures and descriptions to encourage their children to choose a range of meals. In Autumn '26 parents will be able to choose with children online with pictures and descriptions of meals, and order and pay upfront using the Arbor app if they choose. Children can still make their choices in the morning with their class teacher if they prefer. 

Schools will also offer "tasters" on Try It Tuesday so children need not worry about choosing something they don't like.
